Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neuro experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based interventional radiology unit with a focus on neuro and vascular procedures
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required every 3rd weekend and 1-2 nights per week
• Traveler will train at another hospital for 2 weeks and float to an additional facility about 2 days per month
• Procedures performed include angioplasty, carotid and cerebral angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis, vertebroplasty, and various oncology and vascular interventions
• Must be willing to assist in training permanent staff members
• Assist as a scrub assistant during invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Responsible for supporting a high-volume department performing over 20,000 procedures annually
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the training of permanent staff
• Initial 2-week orientation/training period provided at a separate facility
• Modules must be completed prior to start
• Every other holiday is worked as part of the rotating schedule
• Travelers are first to float within facility policy
• Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the primary facility and more than 100 miles from specific central sites to be eligible
• Return staff must have been away from any OhioHealth facility for at least 366 days to be considered as a traveler
• Terminations may occur due to excessive call-offs or no call/no show violations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
• Neuro IR experience is mandatory
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Current ARRT certification required
• ODH Ohio Radiologic License required (pending license acceptable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Proficiency in anatomy, exposure, positioning, radiation protection, and medical terminology
• Must be able to operate angiographic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT equipment
• Must manage a wide variety of inventory products used in the lab
• License required if applicable
