Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) certification and BLS to work in an acute trauma level 1 setting using advanced MRI technology.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on the MRI unit
• Level 1 trauma environment with adult patient population
• Department has 3 scanners including GE 3T and 1.5T, Siemens 1.5T
• Typical studies include general MRI, stroke, and trauma cases
• Expected caseload is approximately 10 scans per day
• Utilizes EPIC EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS; experience preferred
• Shift schedule is Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12 hour days)
• No weekend or call requirements
• Coverage includes occasional outpatient MRI as needed
• Department is overseen by a supervisor and lead technologist with an in-house radiologist available
• Black scrubs required
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Must provide traveler rad badge
• Must be available in state for the initial orientation week
• Holiday coverage is required as needed
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Current ARRT (MR) certification required
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active state MRI Technologist license required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• Submission must include two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
