Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or Compact RN license and strong perioperative experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital's perioperative services and pre-operative unit
• Primary patient population includes post-anesthesia and pre-op patients in an orthopedic and spine surgical setting
• Day shift (AM), 10-hour shifts, no on-call requirements
• 13-week contract assignment
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible unless radius rule is waived
• Former permanent staff must have separated from Emory or Houston for at least one year, and 18 months if returning to the same facility
• Time off (RTO) is strictly limited: maximum of 5 days not near a holiday, 3 days if during or near a holiday, and only one holiday request allowed
• Scrub attire is required per hospital policy
• Travelers must follow strict RTO and holiday rules as outlined by the hospital

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 18 months recent RN experience in a similar acute care PACU or perioperative setting
