Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in echocardiography with experience in both echo and vascular studies for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a non-invasive cardiology EKD unit
• Patient population includes cardiac patients requiring echo and vascular studies
• Average daily caseload of 12-15 studies
• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts each week, Friday through Sunday, 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Call responsibilities are included during the assignment
• Level III trauma center setting
• Assignment includes both echo and vascular studies
• Orientation includes day one observation in the department followed by hands-on training with a preceptor
• During weekend shifts, a staff member will work the first shift with the traveler for support

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in echocardiography and 2-3 years of general ultrasound experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
