Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with Level I trauma experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute care Level I trauma hospital in the Interventional Radiology department
  • Work in 2 general IR suites, 1 spine IR room, and 2 neuro endovascular suites
  • Handles a patient load of 5-10 cases per day with adult and neuro patient populations
  • Procedures include GI/GJ tubes, ports, angiographies, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, blood patches, and endovascular neuro cases
  • Uses Cerner EMR and DR PACS, with equipment such as Philips Allera and Medrad injector
  • 10 hour day shifts, variable days Monday through Friday, with one day off during the week and some possible Saturday coverage
  • Call required, typically 8 days per month including 4 primary and 4 backup days
  • No floating outside of Radiology
  • Responsibilities include assisting with adult and neuro interventional procedures and supporting sedation cases with two RNs and an RT scrub with a physician
  • Level I Trauma experience is essential for this role
  • Orientation will be provided on unit-specific equipment and procedures
  • Scrubs are required per department dress code
  • Applicants must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
  • Permanent residence radius requirements apply for eligibility in certain states such as AZ, NV, NE, IA, MN (50 miles), and CO, KS, UT (60 miles)

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience in a Level I trauma setting
  • Current ARRT (R) certification, BLS certification, and Arizona MRTBE-CRT license required
  • Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Cerner EMR and scrub experience preferred
  • Two references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
  • Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
