Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT and BLS certification, and recent acute care radiology expertise.
Responsibilities
- Position based in an acute care radiology department within a Level 3 trauma center
- Coverage includes general radiology (x-ray), fluoroscopy, OR (34 rooms), outpatient clinic, ortho clinic, ER, and CCU
- Scheduled in one area each week with rotation across all covered areas
- Daily imaging includes general, fluoroscopy, OR procedures, and portable exams
- Average caseload: OR 6-7 C-arm cases/day, Fluoro 10 exams/day, General x-ray 73 exams/day
- Department utilizes Philips DR/CR x-ray rooms, GE DR portables, Ziehm and GE/OEC C-arms, Siemens O-arm
- Uses Cerner Power Chart, RIS GE Centricity, and Philips Intellispace PACS
- 4x10 hour variable day shifts beginning between 7AM and 9AM, including weekend, call, and holiday coverage as needed
- First day includes facility orientation and up to 1 week of daily area rotations
- Duties include performing general x-rays, fluoroscopy procedures, OR imaging, portable exams, and working in outpatient and emergency settings
- Techs are supported by lead technologists and work collaboratively within the department
- Radiologist presence in-house ensures immediate support for clinical imaging questions
- Required to work weekends, participate in call rotation, and provide coverage during holidays as needed
- Navy or gray scrubs required; scrubs provided for OR assignments
- No loungewear permitted when reporting for shifts that require changing into scrubs
- Initial orientation focuses on workflow, imaging protocols, and area rotations
- Must maintain eligibility for employment and provide all required documentation at time of consideration
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of radiology technologist experience covering general, fluoroscopy, and operating room settings
- Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Active WA state radiology license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Experience operating O-arm and C-arm equipment required
- Demonstrated ability to rotate and cover all specified areas independently
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and familiarity with RIS/PACS systems preferred
- Driver's license must be provided for consideration
- Two professional references: one recent supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the past 3 years
