Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring active IL and IA RN licenses, and ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating expected across local campuses and to Stepdown units as needed
• Average patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Uses Epic EMR system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Role involves collaborating as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• 16 hours of orientation provided at start
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage includes working 2 of 3 major winter holidays
• Only one day of time off may be requested during specified peak holiday periods
• No on-call required for this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required; proof of application accepted if not active
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• At least 2 years of prior Med Surg experience required
• Stepdown or Cardiac experience preferred
• One recent supervisory reference required
• Driver's license required for consideration
