Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of pediatric outpatient experience, BLS, NBCOT, and CA OT license for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation setting
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week: Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
• No call requirements; occasional call off based on census
• Patient population includes children with varied developmental conditions such as Autism, sensory challenges, fine motor delay, and regulation issues
• Experience with feeding/eating interventions preferred but not required
• May be required to float within the hospital and to satellite locations including NICU
• Epic EMR is used
• Provide assessment and treatment for pediatric patients with a wide range of developmental conditions
• Work with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 trauma and Magnet-recognized teaching facility
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Not accepting local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Perm staff must wait one year after employment to be eligible
• Maximum of 6 days requested time off allowed; must work 2 out of 3 holidays
• Scrub color is flexible; any color allowed
• Free traveler parking available
• Pre-assignment online modules required

Requirements

• Current CA OT license or eligibility to obtain; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years pediatric outpatient OT experience
• Current NBCOT certification
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• Children’s hospital experience preferred but not required
