Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position with required Epic EMR experience and an active NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Critical Care Float Pool at a hospital setting
• Shifts are 12 hours from 07:00 to 19:30
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Must float among various critical care units including potential neuro, SICU, and others
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination and make-up shifts are required within six weeks of the last call out
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
• Facility allows only medical exemptions for flu vaccination signed by a licensed professional
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• May only be submitted to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience
• Certifications must be current and from AHA or RQI
• Must have experience with Epic EMR
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Must complete and pass ICU competency testing with up to two attempts
