Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in an adult Level 1 trauma setting requiring an IN or compact license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Primary patient population is adult Level 1 trauma cases
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Provide direct nursing care according to established protocols
- Coordinate care and communicate with multidisciplinary team members
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate
- Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning
- Team-oriented environment in a high-acuity trauma setting
- First-time travelers may apply
- Local candidates are accepted but may be eligible for a different rate based on facility's radius rule
- Every other weekend coverage is expected
- Covid vaccination is not required as of July 1, 2023
- Scrub or dress code details will be provided during onboarding
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in an emergency or trauma setting
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification from AHA required
- TNCC certification required and must be up to date
- Nursys license verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
- Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
