Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in an adult Level 1 trauma setting requiring an IN or compact license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Primary patient population is adult Level 1 trauma cases
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Provide direct nursing care according to established protocols
• Coordinate care and communicate with multidisciplinary team members
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning
• Team-oriented environment in a high-acuity trauma setting
• First-time travelers may apply
• Local candidates are accepted but may be eligible for a different rate based on facility's radius rule
• Every other weekend coverage is expected
• Covid vaccination is not required as of July 1, 2023
• Scrub or dress code details will be provided during onboarding

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in an emergency or trauma setting
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification from AHA required
• TNCC certification required and must be up to date
• Nursys license verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
• Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
