Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring a FL or compact RN license and strong ICU background.

Details

• Work in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a teaching hospital
• Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-07:15)
• Cares for intermediate-acuity patients; familiarity with cardiac drips required
• Will float as needed to three facilities within a 20-mile radius
• Uses Epic EMR for charting; high proficiency with Epic (level 3 or 4) required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience and prior ICU experience required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS and ACLS at time of consideration; NIHSS to be obtained before start
• Experience with Epic EMR at a high proficiency level is mandatory
• Familiarity with cardiac drips is required
• All time off (RTO) must be requested prior to consideration; no exceptions
• All clinicians must be nicotine-free and able to pass a nicotine test

• Responsibilities include caring for patients in the Stepdown/PCU setting and floating to other similar units as needed
• Works closely with a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment
• Time-sensitive training modules must be completed promptly after assignment is confirmed
• Scrub color requirement is white
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Assignments at any affiliated locations may not exceed 18 consecutive months; must wait 6 months between assignments
