Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a RN for a Med/Surg-Oncology night shift position requiring a NM or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient Med/Surg-Oncology unit within a hospital environment
• The unit serves both oncology and general med-surg patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Responsible for coordinating and implementing age-appropriate patient care
• Expected to provide care consistent with unit and organizational standards
• Work environment may involve exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
• Professional interactions can be stressful due to unpredictable situations
• Must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule for eligibility

Requirements

• Active NM or compact state RN license required for consideration
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Ability to manage emergency and crisis situations
• Physical ability for prolonged standing, walking, and assisting patient movement
