Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of recent cath lab experience and ARRT certification for 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
• Patient population includes adults requiring cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• Typical procedures include heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR, and other interventional radiology cases
• Shift is 10-hour days with on-call requirements of 8-10 days per month
• 30-minute response time required when on call
• Weekend requirements to be determined
• Duties include patient consultations, initial assessments, recommendations under physician guidance, daily rounds, and patient progress communication
• Limited to 5 days of requested time off for the contract
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
• References required; 2 supervisory references completed within the past year
• Resume and skills checklist specific to cath lab required for consideration
• Team-based environment with close collaboration with referring physicians, radiologists, and other medical staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience required
• Current ARRT certification required; RCIS will not be approved
• Active State of Illinois license required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required at time of consideration
• COVID and Flu vaccination required; declinations will not be accepted
• Experience with heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI, IVUS/IFR, and interventional radiology cases required
