Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift position requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med Surg/Telemetry hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating to other campuses within the same discipline may be required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide and manage patient care
• Orientation consists of 16 hours with designated start dates
• Expect to float across multiple campuses as needed
• Required to work holidays as scheduled, with specific restrictions on time-off during the holiday season
• Facility uses standard scrub attire

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum of 2 years of previous Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
