Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry night shift position in Illinois, requiring active IL and IA RN licenses with prior stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown/telemetry unit caring for progressive care patients
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• May be required to float within the same discipline across multiple local hospital campuses
• Typical patient ratio is 1:4-5
• Uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems
• Primary role includes delivering specialized care to patients in a stepdown setting as part of an interdisciplinary team
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation provided with multiple start dates throughout the year
• Travelers may need to provide a recent supervisory reference
• Holiday coverage may be required as assigned

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA single-state or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or ARC
• Epic experience is required
• Valid driver's license is required
