Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 24 months of IR lab experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Interventional Radiology department
• Work schedule is 4x9 hour day shifts starting at 7:00 or 7:30 AM
• On-call required 6-9 days per contract, including every fourth weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• EMR is Epic; prior experience with Epic is required
• Must participate in call schedule, including weekends and some holidays
• Training includes 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limit of 1 day of requested time off between 11/26 to 11/30 and 12/23 to 1/2
• Radius rule applies: candidates living within 50 miles may be subject to a pay adjustment
• Returning employees must not have worked for the client within the past 12 months

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA or ARC ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 24 months of recent interventional vascular or IR lab nursing experience in a hospital or medical center required
• 24 months of recent OR experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Driver’s license required
• Skills checklist specific to OR RN required
• Supervisory reference from within the past 24 months preferred
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
• Experience and proficiency in endovascular procedures preferred
