Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring IA or Compact licensure, high acuity, and high-volume experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital L&D unit with high-risk and high-volume deliveries (200-300/month)
• Night shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements; an extra shift is scheduled in lieu of on-call
• Floating to postpartum unit required 1-2 shifts per week
• EMR system: Epic (Epic Stork experience preferred)
• Care for high-risk maternity patients and participate in deliveries in a fast-paced environment
• Must be comfortable floating to postpartum and supporting team care needs
• Participation in holiday coverage is required per facility guidelines
• Limited RTO allowed between major holiday periods
• Previous employees within the last 12 months may not be eligible
• Multiple completed travel contracts and Epic Stork experience preferred

Requirements

• Active IA or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in high acuity and high-volume settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
• NRP certification required
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not considered
• Driver’s license required for consideration
