Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Michigan requiring a current MI license and AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital emergency department setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Must be available to work at least one holiday during assignment
• Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Leadership expected in delegation, supervision, and documentation of patient and family care
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team is essential
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Background check and drug screening must be completed within specified timeframes before start

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Online modules must be completed onsite with a passing score prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccine required for employment
