Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Michigan requiring a current MI license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital emergency department setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available to work at least one holiday during assignment
- Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Leadership expected in delegation, supervision, and documentation of patient and family care
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team is essential
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Background check and drug screening must be completed within specified timeframes before start
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Online modules must be completed onsite with a passing score prior to start
- COVID-19 vaccine required for employment
