Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with neuro and telemetry skills for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIH, and tele competency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit with a neurological focus in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5
• Night shifts available in 3x12 or 4x12 hour formats, 7:00pm - 7:00am
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating within scope to similar units and sister facilities as needed
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Primary responsibilities include providing care to neuro and telemetry patients in a PCU setting
• All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season from June through November
• Modules and orientation must be completed before starting the assignment
• All requested time off must be included at the time of contract and will be approved based on unit needs
• No additional vacation or PTO will be approved after assignment acceptance
• Free parking is available on site

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (AHA versions only)
• Tele competency required
• Previous permanent staff, including PRN, must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before return eligibility
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered at a local rate
