Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery LDRP position requiring 2 years of recent experience, a FL or compact RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 24-bed OB-Maternal Level 2, Nursery Level 1 unit within a hospital setting
- Care for labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and nursery patients
- Patient ratios are 1-2:1 for labor and 3-4:1 for postpartum
- 12-hour day and night shifts available
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Epic EMR system is used; experience is preferred
- Floating required with travelers having first float priority, possibly to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
- Orientation includes remote component and on-site badge/ID pickup, with nurses starting on a Friday
- RTO and schedule requests must be provided up front; changes not accepted post offer
- First-time travelers are welcome and expected to function as core staff
- Strong team culture with high value placed on flexibility and collaborative work
- Hospital expects travelers to be flexible regarding floating assignments
- No block scheduling requests are allowed
- Scrub and dress code details will be provided upon hire
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years LDRP experience in the past 3 years
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Degree must be from an accredited nursing program unless 5 years of experience as an RN
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility and may not own or cosign on property within that radius
- Must provide matching addresses for DL and Board of Nursing registration
