Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Tech with current BLS and RCS or RDCS certification for a Monday-Friday day shift assignment with scheduled weekend call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital setting specializing in diagnostic imaging and cardiac sonography
  • Primary focus on performing echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, 2D/3D Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
  • Adult and occasional pediatric patient population
  • Shift is 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • On-call weekend rotation required every 7 weeks
  • Perform echocardiograms following standard imaging protocols and ASE standards
  • Responsible for ensuring quality and completeness of patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and document the process
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, notifying management as needed
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program required
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • RCS through CCI or RDCS required
  • Proficiency in adult echo, stress, TEE, and call coverage
  • Ability to recognize arrhythmias and take appropriate action
