Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least one year of recent cardiac case experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Acute care hospital cardiac cath lab setting
- Three cath lab rooms and one hybrid OR
- Handles 13–26 cases per day including cardiac, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, and pacemaker procedures
- Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, heart blocks, and cancer cases
- Equipment includes Merge, Cerner EMR, Philips X-ray machines, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Day shifts, 4x10 hour schedule with call requirements
- On-call typically one night per week and one weekend per 4-week period, 30-minute response time
- No floating required within or outside the unit
- Duties include controlling C-arm, assisting physicians, scrubbing, and patient preparation within scope of practice
- Manager, director, and charge RN support available during daytime hours
- OR scrubs provided by the hospital
- Holiday call shared equally among staff
- Unit/department orientation provided: 1-2 days general, plus 2 days unit specific
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates with PRN employment through outside firms may be considered
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent experience with cardiac cases
- Current ARRT certification and Arizona state RT (AZRT) license required
- Valid BLS certification required
- Experience with interventional radiology preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must provide copy of driver’s license
- Two professional references: one supervisor from within the past year, and one peer or supervisor from within the past three years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
- No employment (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit facility in the past year

Cons
Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.
