Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist with at least 1 year of pediatric echocardiography experience and adult/pediatric echo certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a children's hospital and Level II pediatric trauma center
- Work as an echo tech/cardiac sonographer focused on pediatric and adult patients
- Shift is 4x10 hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Night and weekend call rotation is required; call is weekends only
- Approximately 5 echo exams are performed per day
- No floating between units is required for this role
- Epic EMR experience is required
- All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state according to facility policy
- Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and live more than 50 miles away to be eligible
- Scrub color for technologists is Galaxy Blue or Royal Blue
- Parking is free in any unrestricted area with bike racks available
- Minimal to no RTO (requested time off) is preferred; substantial RTO may delay or hinder consideration
- Holiday or schedule requests must be made prior to assignment confirmation and are not guaranteed
Requirements
- Adult/pediatric echo certification is required; vascular certification is preferred
- At least 1 year of pediatric echo experience is required
- Minimum 2 years of overall experience unless otherwise noted
- References must include at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent employment in a comparable specialty
- Must provide SS card, driver's license, COVID, and flu documentation for consideration
- Epic EMR experience is required
- License required if applicable
