Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring travel and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU department of a hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:30 to 07:00
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 10 ICU rooms in the unit
• Epic EMR system used and experience with Epic is required
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this position
• Initial orientation includes onsite module completion with transcripts provided
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved and none is allowed during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• 2 years of ICU RN experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• TNCC certification is preferred
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles or in the counties of Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris are not eligible
• Former perm staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
