Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a MO or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and at least 2 years of ICU experience for a night shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 6
• Unit has 10 ICU beds and 8 rooms with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3 on both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18:30-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required to Med Surg within clinical scope if not needed in ICU
• EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is used and experience with EPIC is required
• Must complete a fit test with facial hair requirements for proper masking
• Navy scrubs required for this assignment
• No on-call responsibilities for this role
• Holiday coverage is required as per hospital policy
• References from two recent supervisors within the last two years may be requested
• Pre-employment online modules must be completed prior to start date
• No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the first week of assignment with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Ability to care for ventilated patients, initiate IV starts, and perform telemetry monitoring
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
