Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Operating Room position requiring a NJ or compact license and OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures including general OR, bariatrics, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, orthopedic, ENT, and robotic surgeries
• Uses EPIC for documentation; prior EPIC experience is preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrubs are provided
• Former permanent staff must be separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Locals within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel position
• No travel pairs or groups permitted
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
• Mandatory onsite modules (orientation) will be completed and recorded via transcripts

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year Operating Room RN experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Experience with a broad range of OR procedures including laparoscopic, vascular, spine, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmic, urologic, and robotic surgeries
