Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a circulating position with floating and on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center
• Circulating OR RN role with ability to scrub considered a plus but not required
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call coverage required: one weekend every 5-6 weeks and one night each week
• Must float to other units and sister facilities as needed
• Patient assignment is 1:1 in the OR
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required
• Parking available at no cost
• Duties primarily include circulating in the OR; ability to scrub is helpful but not mandatory
• Expect to float between hospital units or to affiliated facilities based on operational needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply if minimum experience is met
• Scrub color is flexible and any color is acceptable
• Online modules required pre-start and annually
• Some floating assignments may include additional incentives and hotel accommodation if needed for consecutive shifts
• RTO must be requested up front (up to 6 days or 3 consecutive days auto-approved); additional time off may delay offer

Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for Oregon or multi-state compact
• Minimum 1 year recent circulating OR RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Vehicle required for floating between nearby facilities
• Must provide two supervisory references from the last three years
• Former permanent staff must have a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Commitment to work at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
