Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienced in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine for a weekday assignment with a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
- Perform PET/CT and general nuclear medicine procedures, primarily on oncology patients
- Daily caseload includes approximately 33 PET/CT scans with whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging
- Utilize 2 PET/CT scanners and PACS system
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM
- Optional 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks
- Required to work one evening shift and one Saturday per month
- Federal holidays off
- Responsibilities include performing imaging studies for oncology and other patient populations, including whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine scans
- Scrubs are not provided; grey scrubs preferred
- Supportive team environment for both experienced and first-time travelers
- Holiday work is not required
- Fingerprinting for Ohio state compliance must be completed promptly after contract signing
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Requested time off must be included during initial contract consideration
Requirements
- Experience in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine required
- Proficiency in IV starts and using PACS
- Current BLS, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and state license required if applicable
- Inpatient and outpatient clinical experience required
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor
- Former employees are eligible after a 6-month break, current employees are not eligible
