Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU role requiring arterial line experience and recent Level 1 or 2 trauma background.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiovascular ICU setting
• Day and night rotating shifts with a 36-hour work week
• Critical care environment with advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Care for patients with ventilators and post-surgical lines, tubes, and drains
• Involvement with arterial lines, PA lines, and waveform interpretation
• Manage ventilated patients and those on pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with line insertion and maintenance
• Exposure to ICP monitoring, ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVD
• No local candidates permitted; 75-mile radius rule applies
• Involvement in caring for ventilated and post-surgical ICU patients
• Must be comfortable with advanced line and drain management
• Role includes interpretation of hemodynamic waveforms and assisting in specialized procedures

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association
• Recent experience (within last 2 years) in Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center required
• Previous experience in critical care and advanced hemodynamic monitoring essential
• Arterial line experience required
