Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience and an active state license for a day shift position in a rehabilitation therapy setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a rehabilitation therapy setting providing services to residents
• Patient population primarily consists of residents in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility
• Day shift schedule
• Responsible for partnering with residents and care providers to maximize functional abilities and independence
• Documentation is completed in the Electronic Medical Record
• Duties include evaluation, treatment planning, implementing care, and monitoring progress toward functional goals
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and provide mentorship to new staff
• Conduct consultations and attend team meetings as needed
• Supervise assistant-level staff and ensure compliance with state regulations and standards
• Maintain department cleanliness and follow infection control procedures
• English language proficiency required
• No specific radius rule for local candidates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred
• Active state license as a PT required if applicable
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform varied physical tasks throughout the shift
