Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in New Jersey requiring STEMI on-call and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Patient population spans from pediatric to geriatric requiring cardiac cath procedures
• 4-day workweek with 9.5-hour shifts from 7AM to 5PM
• STEMI on-call responsibilities are required
• Epic EMR is used in this unit
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Performs thorough patient assessments and delivers appropriate care across the lifespan
• Provides perioperative and postoperative patient education and assessment
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation in compliance with facility standards
• Demonstrates professionalism and maintains patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals and universal protocol for patient identification
• Must adhere to facility dress code for the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Assignments are limited to one calendar year; a 30-60 day break is required before a new assignment

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree required; BSN preferred
• Proficient in English (spoken, read, written)
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
