Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2-3 years of experience for an 8-hour day shift position in a long term and transitional care setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an Occupational Therapy unit with 20 TCU beds and 90 LTC beds
• Caseload includes both short-term and long-term care residents
• Typical caseload is 8-10 patients per 8-hour day, including evaluations and treatments
• Uses Meditech EMR; prior experience is preferred
• Floating to the Acute Occupational Therapy department may be required
• Work schedule is primarily weekdays with weekend rotations as needed
• No major holiday coverage required; if coverage coincides with a holiday, substitute assignment to a surrounding weekend is possible
• Provide a full range of occupational therapy services for both evaluation and treatment
• Collaborate closely with therapy, nursing, social work, and management staff
• Supportive team environment with orientation period adjusted to experience and comfort level
• Scrub color is flexible and any color may be worn
• Free parking is available on site
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position

Requirements

• Current Montana Occupational Therapist (OT) license required if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• BLS certification required
• 2-3 years of occupational therapy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of current OT materials, equipment, processes, and techniques
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office; ability to learn additional software as needed
