Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro experience and ARRT certification for a contract in a high-volume IR department.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting specializing in neurological and vascular procedures
• Perform procedures such as angioplasty, cerebral and carotid angiographies, embolization, stent placement, and vertebroplasty
• Assist with various neurointerventional surgical and oncology procedures, including cerebral aneurysm coilings, AVM and stroke interventions, and chemoembolizations
• Operate and maintain angiographic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT equipment for both diagnostic and interventional uses
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (0700-1730), every other holiday required
• On-call required every 3rd weekend and 1-2 nights per week
• Mandatory 2-week training at another hospital in Columbus, with occasional floating to other facilities
• Facility performs over 20,000 IR procedures annually
• Assist Neuro Interventional Radiologist in diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures
• Required to maintain inventory management in the lab
• Expected to float to other units within clinical scope and to other system locations as assigned
• Must complete modules pre-start, averaging 12 hours
• Scrub role participation is required
• Return staff must have a 366 day break in service before being considered
• Multiple call-offs or no call/no show may result in contract termination
• Labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing
• First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent Interventional Radiology experience, including neuro procedures
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT certification required
• Current ODH Ohio Radiologic License (pending license acceptable if applicable; license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology
• Must be comfortable assisting in staff training
• Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from central facility to be eligible
