Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a KY or compact license and at least 2 years of recent OR experience for a travel contract.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room/Surgery department of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7am to 7pm
- 13-week assignment
- Surgical patient population
- No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule
- Participate as a member of the surgical team in the Operating Room
- Maintain compliance with all required credentialing and certifications
- Complete any required facility modules or testing
- First time travelers will be considered
- Proof of certifications must be current and submitted before starting
- Dress code/scrub requirements set by hospital policy
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license with no disciplinary history
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Current AHA certifications required (BLS, ACLS as needed)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at time of consideration
- All candidates must have a US Social Security Number
- Flu and COVID vaccinations required with no exceptions
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training required and may be completed onsite
- Explanation required for work history gaps of 3 months or more
