Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WI or compact license, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 12-bed Level 1 LDRP unit with a Level 1 nursery
• Care for low-risk labor and delivery, mother/baby, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Perform procedures including NST, reflex checks, external fetal monitoring, fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, APGAR scoring, pain management, triage, and basic cardiac monitoring
• AWHONN staffing guidelines utilized
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• Required to work every third weekend
• Uses Epic EMR with Epic experience required
• Responsibilities include complete nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients from antepartum through postpartum including LDRP and nursery assignments
• Scrubs are provided
• All travelers must complete OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to start
• Pre-employment modules must be completed before beginning the assignment
• Travelers may not work past 1 year consecutively and must take a six month break prior to returning

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, FHM, and NRP
• AWHONN intermediate or advanced certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be able to shave as needed for mask fit testing; use of personal CAPRs or PAPRs not permitted
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Must provide two recent professional references from supervising personnel
