Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a rehab contract with a focus on both outpatient and acute care, requiring EPIC experience and at least one year of PT experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a rehab setting with work split between outpatient clinic (4 days/week) and acute care (1 day/week)
• Day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• May be required to float within the discipline across local campuses
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro, and safety discharge cases
• On-call and weekend acute shifts are available but not required
• Epic EMR is used and experience with this system is required
• Weekly orientation is provided every Monday
• PT will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage patient care across settings
• May provide weekend coverage for acute care, seeing ortho, neuro, and safety discharge patients
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible for this position
• Team members may be asked to help support coverage across local sites
• Returning candidates must not have worked at the client facility in the previous 12 months

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent physical therapy experience required
• Outpatient PT experience required; inpatient experience preferred
• Previous completion of at least one travel contract is preferred
• Active Iowa PT license required if applicable, or proof of application for non-Iowa licensed candidates
• AHA or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Experience working with Epic EMR required
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to PT and recent professional reference preferred
