Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg night shift position requiring BLS and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg unit within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule: four 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm to 7:30am
  • Care for adult LTAC Med/Surg patients
  • Epic EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
  • Floating to qualified units and campuses may be required based on census needs
  • Comprehensive orientation begins every Monday
  • Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed prior to start and may be reimbursed for up to 16 hours
  • Team members may be asked to float only to units in which they are qualified and competent
  • First time travelers will be considered
  • Extending beyond three consecutive contracts may require transition to permanent employment or a six-month separation before returning as a traveler

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Must meet facility mileage requirement: must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus for night shift Adult Multi-Specialty positions; under 50 miles is ineligible
  • Two professional references required for consideration
