Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU with at least two years of pediatric CVPICU experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Position is based in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU of a children’s hospital
Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
Requires care for pediatric cardiovascular critical care patients
Must be willing to work weekends as needed
Holiday work required if assignment includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s; must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays or at least 1 of 2 if only two fall within assignment
Floating may occur between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though floating between campuses is rare
Block schedule is not guaranteed, but weekend blocks may be considered
Care is provided to critically ill pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
Work in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center environment
All requested time off must be submitted prior to offer; no additional RTO will be approved after offer
Travelers may receive rare floating assignments within like units or nearby campuses
Vaccination status must be provided prior to consideration
Profiles must include a copy of the driver's license
Candidates with expiring certifications during assignment must provide proof of renewal plans

Requirements

Active Tennessee or compact RN license is required (no exceptions or pending licensure)
Minimum 2 years recent pediatric cardiovascular ICU nursing experience required
At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment is required
BLS certification required
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
No first-time travelers unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
Former employees must have at least a one-year separation before returning as travelers
