Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of pediatric ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a children's hospital setting
• Night shifts are 12 hours, 3 shifts per week, scheduled 19:00 to 07:00
• Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Care for pediatric patients with critical cardiovascular conditions
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles, though this is rare
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Provide advanced care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays per hospital requirements: two out of three end-of-year holidays if applicable
• All requested time off must be declared prior to offer; no exceptions after offer
• Former employees must have a minimum one-year separation to be eligible for travel assignments
• Vaccination status documentation is required
• No block scheduling is permitted, but weekend blocks may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Requirements

• Active RN license from TN or a compact state (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment is required
• First-time travelers not accepted unless meeting 3+ years of recent pediatric experience
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted for this unit
• Must live at least 100 miles away from the facility to be eligible
• Required current certifications: BLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• A copy of a valid driver's license must be provided
