Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week telemetry assignment requiring a KY or compact license and BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is on the Telemetry Unit, 2 North, in a hospital setting
• Covers all medical/surgical, telemetry, and observation patients on unit
• Patient ratio is typically 1:6 or 1:7, subject to census
• Rotating weekly schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating to other units is required during low census
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• Responsible for care of medical/surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Holiday policy applies to all requested time off
• Team-based environment with support staff present
• No local candidates accepted due to 100-mile radius rule
• Travel pairs are not permitted unless unit exception is granted

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license required for consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent MS/TELE RN experience
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility
