Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Massachusetts requiring telemetry expertise and an active MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg hospital unit
• Evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with 8-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts required on an every other weekend basis
• Floating to other units as needed is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted as dress code
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR (experience highly preferred)
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical and surgical patients including telemetry monitoring
• No block scheduling available for this contract
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be approved during the assignment
• Holiday coverage may be required as needed
• Orientation consists of 8 hours
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Completion of a basic dysrhythmia course strongly required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, all active and in hand at time of application
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• Must be willing to float to other units
• Must have own vehicle for the assignment
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Work history, Med/Surg skills checklist current to 1 year, and one supervisory reference from the past 2 years required
