Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and at least 18 months experience for assignment in a high-acuity IR department.
Responsibilities
- Work in an interventional radiology unit within an academic hospital setting
- Procedures include liver-directed therapy (Y-90), MAAS, AVS, drug-eluting beads (DEBs), percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC), and drain placements
- Patient population includes adults with advanced interventional needs
- Siemens equipment is utilized for imaging and procedures
- Cerner EMR is used and experience is required
- Typical schedule is four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call is required 1 evening per week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Floating within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required
- Primary responsibility includes performing high-acuity interventional radiology procedures such as drain placements and advanced vascular therapies
- Teamwork is essential in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
- Candidates must be willing to work two out of three major holidays
- Five days or less of requested time off can be automatically approved
- Candidates who were former permanent or PRN employees at this facility must be away for 12 months prior to consideration as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted for this allied health position
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA & RQI accepted)
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years experience in interventional radiology
- Experience with PACS, C-arm, and contrast is preferred
- Cerner EMR charting experience required
- Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE if applicable
- IN state or Compact license must be in hand for consideration for assignments beginning within 2–4 weeks
- License required if applicable
