Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an outpatient Oncology Case Manager position requiring a CA RN license and at least one year of oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient oncology clinic setting specializing in stem cell transplant cases
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Patient population includes adults with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and stem cell transplant
- Collaborate with authorization department and multiple departments for new patient referrals and appointment scheduling
- Use of Cerner EMR is required
- No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling is permitted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Manage new patient referrals and coordinate appointments in collaboration with multiple departments
- Respond to patient inquiries through MyChart and Epic pools
- Participate as a case manager within the Adult Stem Cell Transplant Program
- First time travelers are accepted for this position
- All candidates must be able to provide required documentation
Requirements
- Active, valid CA RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of one year acute care oncology nursing experience required within the past two years
- Bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience preferred
- Outpatient oncology experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Preferred certifications include Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN, or BMTCN
- Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts permitted)
- References required, including at least one supervisory reference from the past year
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the first two weeks of assignment
- Must have been gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
