Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN with travel experience, an active VA or compact RN license, and required certifications for a rotating shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
  • Care for neonatal patients with various acuity levels
  • Rotating 12-hour night and day shifts are required
  • Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
  • Use the Epic EMR system, with experience required
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Candidates must not have been employed by the health system within the last 6 months
  • Drug and tobacco free workplace; no smoking allowed on campus
  • Compliance with a natural nail policy is required
  • BSN preferred but not required
  • Background checks and fingerprinting may be required prior to start
  • Holidays are not guaranteed off

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years recent NICU RN experience
  • At least 12 months of experience in the RN role
  • Must have prior travel nursing experience
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accepted)
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
