Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Skilled Nursing Facility night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license, EPIC experience, and recent specialty background.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and long-term care environment
  • Friday to Sunday night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15)
  • Patient ratio is 1:5, with an average daily census of 56 residents
  • Uses EPIC for charting and documentation
  • May float within the service line or between facilities as needed
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, wound and pressure ulcer management, infection prevention, and fall prevention
  • Will work independently with support available as needed
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Must complete required modules (average 5–8 hours) prior to start and annually
  • 7 days maximum allowed for requested time off
  • Free parking is available on site
  • No travel partners accepted for this assignment
  • Diluted or positive drug screen results that cannot be cleared may result in cancellation, with a six-month waiting period to reapply

Requirements

  • Active MO RN license or multistate compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years recent SNF or specialty experience required, including a full year within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 days
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, diabetes management, central line care, assessment, and infection control
  • Two professional references from the past year—at least one from a supervisor or above and one from a charge RN
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius of the facility will be considered
