Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IR PACU position requiring ICU background and pediatric patient care, with a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU within a hospital's interventional radiology setting
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in phase 1 recovery
• Schedule consists of 3x12 hour day shifts per week with rotating start times at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00
• Expect 3-4 late stays every 6 weeks as part of the schedule
• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from interventional radiology procedures
• All RTO must be requested at time of submission; late requests will not be approved
• Returning permanent staff must wait at least 6 months before being eligible as a traveler
• Two references from supervisors within the last 3 years of employment are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience required
• IR PACU experience with phase 1 recovery required
• Experience caring for pediatric patients is required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and PALS certifications are required (PALS can be obtained prior to start if not currently held)
• No licensure disciplinary actions or 'license hits'
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
