Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position requiring a MD or compact RN license, PACU phase II recovery experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital
Day shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts
On-call required: Monday to Friday, 3-4 overnight (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) shifts in a 6-week schedule
Weekend on-call required for two 12-hour day or night shifts in a 6-week schedule
One 12-hour holiday on-call shift required
No float requirements
Uses Epic EMR
Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU
Must be available to cover required on-call and holiday shifts
Both local and non-local candidates are considered, except where prohibited by specific radius rules
Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided upon offer

Requirements

Active MD or compact RN license
Minimum two years of PACU experience, including phase II recovery
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience with Epic EMR
Previous experience in a facility with 500+ beds or similar large hospital setting
