Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a Medicine Unit, requiring a MD or compact RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Medicine Unit focusing on medical-surgical patients
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (7A/7P), including every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the unit
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- No on-call responsibility
- Uses Epic EMR
- Responsible for providing comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- Holiday shifts are required according to unit scheduling
- Strong candidates are preferred due to high standards of care in this unit
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Minimum two years of recent med/surg experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience in a facility with at least 500 beds required
