Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit in Illinois, requiring Epic and Level I trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Ortho unit
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Adult patient population on a surgical and orthopedic floor
- Epic EMR experience required
- Will provide comprehensive care for adult med/surg and orthopedic patients following unit and hospital protocols
- Initial assessment and customized plan of care are required for each admission
- Documentation must be up to date and accurate for team integration
- Staff are responsible for identifying and correcting safety hazards
- Team collaboration and constructive feedback expected for continuous professional growth
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not work more than one year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning
- No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
- Minimum of one year recent relevant nursing experience
- Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
- Epic charting and Level I trauma experience required
- Must communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written forms
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
