Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho night shift position requiring an IL RN license, BLS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Orthopedic unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00pm – 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Cares for Orthopedic and Med/Surg patient populations
• Uses Epic charting for all documentation
• RTO requests must not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than one year; a six-month break is required before returning
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license (IL or compact), temporary license accepted
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum one year of nursing experience in a relevant setting
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• English language proficiency required
